The Jefferson County Clerk's Office West Branch will temporarily close through Monday, Aug. 31 to repair water damage from recent storms. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We're so glad you're here. Our new website is designed with you in mind. Take a look around and make yourself at home.
Please note: Kentucky is not a title-holding state. When a vehicle is transferred to a new owner, the title is mailed directly to the new owner within 2–6 weeks, regardless of whether there is a lien on the vehicle.
If the original Motor Vehicle or Boat Certificate of Title has been lost, stolen, or mutilated, you may apply for a duplicate title. Issuance of a duplicate title will void any previously issued Kentucky title.
