Marriage License Copy

We offer an online search for marriage licenses issued after 1992. Just click on the button below.

Jefferson County marriage license indexes previous to 1992 are also available for public viewing in our office at 527 W. Jefferson St., Rm 100-A. Alternatively, you can mail us a written request with a check for $6.00 and we will research the marriage license and mail you a copy. A written request should include:

  • Full names of both married parties, including maiden name of bride
  • The date of the marriage or a close approximation if unsure
  • A return mailing address
  • A valid phone number for questions during research
