On Wednesday September 16th the Jefferson County Clerks Office held an open house in celebration of the renovated West Motor Vehicle Branch. This office which moved to the NIA Center in 2012 was originally constructed as one of the smaller satellite locations of the JCCO. Over time though increased volume and growing demand led to the realization that additional space and more hands were needed. After construction that included the addition of two work spaces as well as a back office and common area the West Branch came together and opened to positive feedback and pleasant customer experiences. As with past renovations Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw decided to invite the public in to view the updated fresh branch that would serve their community. Like East Fairdale and Highview before it the West Branch has a modern appeal with bright colors and new furniture. Breaking the typical idea of what a government office looks like is just a portion of what Bobbie Holsclaw hoped to achieve. Its all about the people of Jefferson County she says. We continually strive to give them a better experience and we want each community to have an office they can take pride in and enjoy. Guests were able to munch on cake and sip punch while speaking with one another and scoping out the branch. JCCO management community leaders and fellow tenants of the NIA Center mixed with members of the neighborhood while enjoying the afternoon. Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw greeted everyone inquiring as to what other improvements could be made to our services. I think the citizens of Jefferson County can see that we continue to push for improvement and settle for nothing less. Anything worth doing is worth doing right and we want to meet and exceed the expectations set by our customers. An Open House for the West MV Branch By Jordan Kelch Public Relations 3
