JCCO Standard Contract Terms

The following contract terms are hereby incorporated by reference into contracts and/or other agreements (contracts) between the Jefferson County Clerks Office (JCCO) and other parties, when specifically stated as the intent of the JCCO.

• The jurisdiction and venue of any action under the contract is Jefferson Circuit Court, Louisville, KY.
• The laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky are meant to be applied in construing this contract.
• The contract shall only bind the JCCO to the extent the current incumbent county clerk may do so by Kentucky law.
• The right of payments shall be subject to such actions of law, including appropriations laws, of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and any of its subdivisions as relates to the financial duties and obligations of the JCCO.
• No waiver of any right to arbitration, to relief in courts of law or equity, to special damages or penalties, court costs, collection costs, or attorney fees available otherwise under law, is hereby made by the JCCO.
